Youth Services

At Career Path DC, we invest in the future of our youth. 

We believe that all youth can become successful adults and function as a productive part of the society in which they live. Some of our youth require additional guidance; we provide them with that necessary support and help them to learn to make wiser decisions. By partnering with local government agencies and other nonprofit organizations, we create solutions to the issues that currently impact our youth and encourage education over incarceration. We promote secure environments and stronger family ties, building strong and safe communities for the future generations of the District of Columbia. 

Our team assists our youth with identifying their strengths and developing the essential skills to thrive in the future. We motivate our youth to become independent thinkers and support their dreams so they can confidently become our leaders of tomorrow. 



Youth Landscaping Program

Over a five month period, the CPDC Youth Landscaping Team performs beautification services in several areas throughout the District of Columbia. These projects consist of revamping tree boxes, watering plants, and  tree planting exercises. 

Youth learn the following principles of landscaping:
  • Unity 
  • Simplicity 
  • Balance 
  • Color 
  • Natural transition 
  • Line 
  • Proportion
  • Repetition


In addition, these youth are provided an introduction to the following beautification and landscaping skills:
  • Weeding
  • Planting
  • Mulching 
  • Pruning of young trees 
  • Maintaining green space in the public realm
  • Mowing
