Career Path DC (CPDC) is a nonprofit, community service organization. At Career Path DC, we serve our community and help to build a better future for everyone involved by giving people the necessary tools to thrive in life. We inspire our youth to build a great future for themselves and their families and assist them in obtaining the skills to succeed. In addition, we work with returning citizens and individuals with low to moderate skill sets to establish a clear career path. We provide these individuals with a wide range of training and supportive services to overcome their obstacles and prepare them for the workforce, their career of tomorrow.

CPDC's goals are to provide a clean and safe environment for individuals living, working, and visiting the District of Columbia; inspire our youth to overcome barriers, deter them from becoming affiliated with criminal activities and intervene when necessary, while assisting them with gaining valuable skills in order to build a great future for themselves and their families; work with the returning citizen population to assist them with successfully reintegrating into the community; assist individuals with low to moderate skill sets to become proficient in specific tasks so that they can establish a clear career path; and develop career opportunities and provide our participants with a wide range of training and supportive services to overcome their obstacles and prepare them to obtain and maintain their career of tomorrow.

At CPDC, we build reputable relationships with companies and organizations within our community and through these bonds we stimulate the economy by presenting businesses with talented individuals whose skills will help to build a successful tomorrow for the companies we serve.

CPDC's staff collaborates with several DC Government agencies in an effort to provide essential workforce development training and work experience to individuals considered hard to employ. CPDC partners with the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS), working with youth currently committed to the juvenile justice system; Mayor's Office of Returning Citizens Affairs (MORCA), to assist individuals recently released from prison; Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA), providing workforce development and volunteer work experience for their clients; Department of Employment Services (DOES) to identify individuals who are chronically unemployed that needs assistance with building skills; and Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), creating workforce development and leadership programs for individuals who wouldn’t otherwise have that opportunity.
